One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

This story reminds us of "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest." There is a very brief summary of the plot followed by the scene in which Chief Brombden speaks to McMurphy for the first time. This story can be used initiate a conversation about about mental health, wellness, trust and belonging. It's nice when people around you understand you.  But sometimes others don't understand you. We notice that the Chief chooses not to speak. Why?
