This is a very simple story that just asks participants to recall several celebrities from the 1950's and early 60's who had an impact on women's fashion: Ingrid Bergman, Doris Day, Katherine Hepburn and Audry Hepburn. It's deliberately vague and provocative by picking such different women.
Most women from this period will associate strongly either positively or negatively with at least one of the women in this piece. You can talk about things like women wearing pants and suits, for example. But also hemlines. Hats. Shoes and gloves can be pretty interesting. Fur. Many of these norms changes pretty completely and very rapidly following the war.
